Daniel Yeboah received a five-year prison sentence for acting as the physical receiver on the ground in a conspiracy to smuggle 1.5 tonnes of c*nn*bis from Ghana to the United Kingdom. The illegal shipment, valued at approximately £4.3 million, was concealed inside sacks of Gari powder to bypass customs before arriving at Tilbury Docks. Once the shipping container was released from the docks and driven to a rented industrial yard in north London, Yeboah was the person waiting to accept it. When the delivery truck arrived, he stepped forward and signed the official delivery note using a fake signature to hide his identity. Unbeknownst to him, law enforcement had already intercepted the shipment at the docks and replaced the real d*ugs with dummy packages, catching him red-handed as he took possession of the delivery.
